The Origins of The Psychic Megan Series

My parents and my father’s side of the family were Spiritualists. My mother’s side were Catholic. However, my mother was psychic too, and could see Auras. This frightened her parents, but especially her mother.

Auras

When I was a young boy, she told me how a door-to-door salesman had knocked their door when she was about thirteen. My mother told her mother not to let him in because he had ‘bad colours around him’. She was chastised and told not to be rude. It was the first time that she had realised that not everyone could see Auras. This is the basis of the whole series of 24 volumes, but especially the first one.

Sinister

When my parents got married they lived with my mother’s parents. I was born a year later. My parents were still working, so my grandmother looked after me during the day. Apparently, I was naturally left-handed, like my father, whom they didn’t like. They considered left-handed people rather sinister, so they trained me to be right-handed.

By the way, I do know that the Latin for left is sinister. This is also part of the first volume, but I attributed it to my mother, whom I call Megan in the books. My mother also told me that I had a tiger familiar that would sit with me as a kind of guard. This tiger, Grrr, is in every volume of the series as well.

The Psychic Megan Series

The series is meant to be read from one to 24 as there is some progression in them, but they also stand alone. Perhaps it is better if readers start with the first volume, The Misconception, but after that the order is far less important.
