1] Post Publishing Promo Checklist
This is a copy of the checklist that I used to use for marketing a book once it has been published. It needs updating, but the principle is easy to grasp. Add resources that you want to use in the left-hand column, and tich them off when you have completed them. Delete resources that are no longer available such as Google+.
It is easy to follow and easy to implement, but don’t let that put you off. It is vital, especially immediately after posting your content. you need to establish ownership of your content, so that (especially) Google is in no doubt who the owner of the content is. This is particularly important if you share the content with other sites.
Implementing all the actions in this checklist will leave the search engines in no doubt who wrote the piece, and who should be penalised for copying it. If you don’t follow the checklist, that could be you, unfortunately.
