First Chapters
Welcome to a new feature of this blog called First Chapters.
The concept is pretty straightforward, every week or so, I will post the first chapter of one of my books, or possibly of a book that I like, with the author’s permission, for you to read as a sampler of that book.
That way, you get to read a short story free of charge and can decide whether you want to go any further without taking much risk. To make it even easier, you will be able to buy the book directly from Amazon on this web site in most cases.
I hope that you enjoy this new feature, but either way, if you have anything to say about ‘First Chapters’, please do not hesitate to let me know.
If you would like to know as soon as a new addition to First Chapters is made, please take our RSS feed or join as a subscriber to the blog (left sidebar), and we will keep you informed.
Readers: if you have any questions, please get in touch with me using ‘First Chapters’ in the subject line, or the author directly, if the book is not mine. If the author has not left a contact email address, please write to me and I will forward it. You can ask questions on anything about the book, characters or the author him- or herself; or you can use the contact/feedback box at the bottom of each page.
Authors: if you would like to take advantage of this feature, please contact me by email. Please note that there is already a facility for advertising your books in our bookshop elsewhere on this site. This is no longer a free service, but at $10 for life with 600,000 page views a year, I’m sure you will find it cheap enough.
Publishers: or authors with several books can use ‘First Chapters’ to place the first chapters of their books and novels on a block basis, of say, four or eight weeks, or every other week. Please email me with your proposal, I am sure we can work something out.
Please note that this is a family-friendly site, so, if you want to submit something to First Chapters from a steamy book, please tone it down a bit, but you are welcome to write at the end or beginning that you have edited it for PG readers 🙂
