Competition Giveaways
Everybody knows that people like to win something for free. Don’t they?
Don’t you?

Whenever you win something for free, don’t you phone a friend and say, ‘Hey, guess what I just won?’
Successful promoters, advertisers and marketers know that competitions are a great way to connect with people and promote a brand – that’s why there are so many of them. If you don’t like entering competitions to win prizes of free products, then you are one of the odd ones out.
Why, there are clubs and magazines devoted to people who enter competitions on a semi-professional basis!
Compers, they call themselves.
So, if there are millions of people out there looking for competitions to enter, well, why not run a giveaway of your own? Create an online competition giveaway to promote your stuff too? If it works for other firms’ products it could well work for yours too.
Many authors give a number of their books away, some even give away as many of their books as they can in order to attempt to create a buzz around it in the hope that they will tell others who will buy it and their back catalogue.
However, wouldn’t it be better if you could create the same amount of buzz by giving away only five, ten or twenty books instead of thousands?
What if you could give away ten books and offer all those who didn’t win 10% discount or 20% off the full price? At least you will have made something rather than nothing and you will have created the buzz you were looking for!
You could hold a competition that lasts a month, or a seven-day competition every month. You could alternate your giveaway prizes too and it is far easier to organise a competition than it is to do a giveaway properly.
If you want to make it really easy, why not let me run your giveaway for you how you want and host the widget and form too? I will also help with social engagement through Twitter, Facebook and blog posts.
Here is an example of a competition giveaway with several features that I have run:
http://meganthemisconception.com/general/megan-series-win-misconception/
The conditions of entry can be liking a page on a blog or a Facebook page, placing a Twitter or a Facebook post in your favour, a blog post comment becoming a follower or practically anything you like really
The cost is $5 a week via PayPal and I will post a buy link to any book cover (or anything) you like and the link to your competition will be displayed on every page on this site, http://meganthemisconception.com, which receives 4,000+page-views a day.
When the contest or competition is over, you get the names and details of the winning entries, and take care of delivery of the prizes you promised.
You can’t get fairer than that, can you?
And if you would like to have me interview you on my Megan Publishing Services blog and plug your books, your brand and yourself, we can do that too, also free of charge!
Now that’s not a bad deal at all, is it?
Please pay using PayPal owen at welsh-products-online.co.uk and send me the details separately.

I think that everything said made a lot of sense.
But, consider this, what if you added a little content?
I ain’t suggesting your content isn’t good., but what if you added a post title that grabbed a person’s
attention? I mean Competition Giveaways – Megan Publishing Services is a
little boring. You might glance at Yahoo’s front page
and note how they create post titles to get people to click.
You might add a video or a picture or two to get people interested
about what you’ve got to say. In my opinion, it could make your blog a little bit more interesting.
Thanks for your comments, I will certainly bear them in mind.
Something to think about.
All the best,
Owen
I actually love your post. I read your blog pretty regularly and you are always coming out with
some great things. I shared this on my FB and my followers merely adored it.
Keep up the great work!
Thanks very much. It’s nice of you to say so. Why not join my Insider’s Newsletter too?
