If you enjoy a refreshing, health-promoting drink that also calms the digestive system 🌿, this soothing infusion may become a favourite. It’s simple to prepare and packed with potential health benefits 🌿.
A delicious and natural infusion for calming the nerves and supporting digestion.
🫖 Ingredients:
• 4 teaspoons loose-leaf oolong tea 🍃
• 2 tablespoon fresh or dried mint leaves 🌱
• 1 litre hot water 💧
🍵 Method:
Boil the water and allow it to cool slightly (around 85°C / 185°F).
- Steep the oolong and mint leaves together for 3–5 minutes.
- Strain and serve hot, or chill for a refreshing iced version.
💡 Tip: For a cooling summer drink, brew double strength and pour over ice with a splash of lemon juice. The Oolong is so delicate that the lemon will turn the tea pale!
📚 Potential Benefits of Oolong & Mint
🌿 Oolong
• Contains antioxidants that may support heart health
• Traditionally used to aid weight management
• May help improve focus and alertness
• Offers a smooth, energising boost with less caffeine than coffee
🌱 Mint
• Soothes the digestive tract and may ease bloating
• Known for its cooling, calming effect
• Naturally freshens breath
• Can help relieve mild headaches and tension
🌱 My Notes:
I like this tea because it’s gentle on the stomach but still gives me a subtle lift when I need to focus. It is one of the most refreshing teas I know. Garden mint is perfect for this tea, but this is a national favourite in Morocco, so perhaps try to get hold of some Moroccan mint for an authentic twist?

Note: While these ingredients are generally safe for most people, check with your healthcare provider if you are on medication or have a health condition ⚠️.
I have asked my cardiologist because I have a pacemaker, and take Warfarin and Statins, and he is happy with these infusions, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they are good for you too.
